CAAS to Deepen Cooperation with European Partners

In Czech, the delegation visited the Czech Crop Research Institute (CRI), the largest agricultural research institute in Czech, and had a fruitful meeting with its DG, Dr. Pavel Cermák and DDG Dr. Jiban Kuma. Noting that China and Czech enjoy strong complementarily advantages and great potential for agricultural scientific cooperation, Tang called upon the two sides to deepen their cooperation on agricultural science and technology. Both sides agreed to establish the “CAAS-CRZ Joint Center for Agricultural Research” and seek to include its implementation under the Sino-Czech S&T Cooperation framework supported by Ministries of Science and Technology of both countries. The prioritized areas for future cooperation were identified. The two sides also reached consensus to encourage the joint application of the Horizon 2020 projects and bilateral cooperation projects so as to boosting the pragmatic cooperation.
