CAAS to initiate PhD training program with Lincoln University
The Graduate School of CAAS reached the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Lincoln University (LU) of New Zealand on September 17th, to initiate joint PhD training program.


According to the MOU, the two parties agree to set up cooperative research programs in areas of mutual concerns (i.e. plant protection, animal sciences, environment and resources, agro-food processing, etc). Lincoln University will recruit PhD candidates from CAAS to conduct a 12 months study in New Zealand in a so called “sandwich” arrangement. The studies will be done in both China and New Zealand depending on the disciplines but the PhD degree will be conferred by Lincoln University. The program is expected to recruitment 20-30 qualified Chinese students per year to undertake different studies based on the mentioned disciplines.
The MOU was signed by Han Huipeng, Vice President of CAAS Graduate School and Jeremy Baker, Assistance Vice Chancellor of Lincoln University during the latter’s visit in Beijing.
